What do we want.......BACKSTOP

When do we want it....NOW

And just think.....if only Mrs. May was not being bullied her “little” friends in the DUP then Peter would be happily contemplating his amicably agreed “freedom” from the EU on March 29th.

Had to laugh at the "when in a hole keep digging" bit. It's a bit ironic accusing us who have remained steadfast throughout this whole debacle of doing that, while the biggest hole in UK political history continues to be dug at Westminster.

I have noticed recently that the more Peter is handed his ass on a plate in here by the reasoned debunking of every provocative post he makes or half truth he quotes from wherever he gets his news, the more shrill he becomes.

I don’t know if he actually believes the Ill informed nonsense he often posts but I imagine his stomach is in knots every time he comes in this thread as he knows someone will have made mincemeat of his vitriol so he has to go back and think of sommat else to say.

Because ol’ Peter, like knowitalls the world over, needs to have the last word.

The day you can hand me my ass on a plate is the day I’ll pack it in. You think that by appealing to your little band of mates to back you up that somehow you win an argument. Well let’s just see eh. You may disagree with what I post, but at least I put a point of view across. By comparison you contribute nothing, not a single thing. So do your normal, play to your little group and enjoy.....

Very good read this. Incredibly the link was inadvertently provided courtesy of @Joey66 from his post earlier in the EU thread. Not that he's actually read it of course.

I think it’s a good article tbh. It just goes to show that even if the EU insist on a hard border, it just won’t happen, and they will be unable to make it happen. So we might as well stop talking about it and accept that the border will remain open, just as the U.K. and the ROI want, whatever the EU say......

Sammy Tache is at it again...

The DUP's Brexit spokesman Sammy Wilson has called for Prime Minister Theresa May to "exploit the chaos in Brussels and Dublin" and press for a better Brexit deal. East Antrim MP Mr Wilson said it was time for the Prime Minister to take advantage of mixed messages coming from the EU and the Irish government over how to deal with the Irish border.

Mr Wilson said the backstop would see Brussels "annex" Northern Ireland and undermine the Union. "We always knew it would come to this when Brussels was faced with a situation of its own intransigence," he said.

"It is one of the reasons why the 29th March date must not be moved, otherwise the pressure which the EU and the Irish are now facing will be removed. Now is the time for the Government to be tough and to face down the stubbornness of Dublin and Brussels."

I mean come on

So then guys what do you reckon......
I reckon that you are gloating Pete.

I reckon that you have been true to your word on wishing for a hard Brexit and for finding a scapegoat to blame for the consequences.

I reckon that you are quite content for any outcome so long as it delivers your desired political ideology.

I reckon that you haven’t grasped yet that you have personified all that Ireland has feared regarding Brexit.

I reckon, that I have been right, all along. I reckon that Varadkar has sold you and the EU a pup, for no benefit. I reckon that the ‘deal’ will be changed to allow all parties to claim success and benefit us all......
