Anyone who doesn't think Chelsea have got away with one here, is having a laugh or on a wind up. Remember Dick Masters saying " a fine is nothing to these super rich owners", it's a sporting advantage gained so the penalty must reflect that.

The PL were very carful with this, even though it's obvious that Chelsea did get a sporting advantage the PL stated that no sporting advantage was found. Which gives Chelsea all they need to fight any allegations to the contrary.

Chelsea and the PL negotiated a settlement and then put it in front of a committee to sign off.

Let’s just let that sink in for a bit. They sat in a room and decided on a fine between them. Yet the talk of exemplary cooperation? I’d be compliant in a process where I get to pick my own punishment

Would be amazed if City get any points deduction at all, two reasons, the sly six are judged different from everybody else and two Chelsea have gotten away with it how can City be charged ? Their lawyers would laugh it out of any Courtroom.

City should be docked 115 points at the start of next season. Whatever points they earn get taken off the 115 (a perfect PL season is 114 points), but they would still be relegated. They start the following season in the Championship with the remainder of the deduction and unless they have a season for the ages will get relegated again to League One. At best, they remain in the Championship. That's three seasons out of the PL at a minimum.
