In hindsight who would you have chosen

If you could go back in time who would you have chosen as you manager in November?

Ratcliffe today in the Echo on Silva: "He's been found out at Watford".

They're top half and having their best season for years.

Then he touts Eddie Howe for the Everton job...currently managing Bournemouth to the relegation zone.

FFS, this feller is clueless.

One win in their last seven. They may be 10th, but they're heading in the other direction.

No doubt about that Dave. For me there are still problems ahead, we are not out of danger yet by any means, have to make do with the manager we have for now. Signing a couple of players in January is not magic wand time neither is letting some go but needs to be done. our current manager needs to appraise the playing staff and sort out the dross.

As for that list, do not want any of those failures, we must stick it out to the end of the season and then see how we stand.
I wouldn't say Silva is a failure, tbh.

Not going to change my mind/vote. I wanted Silva so will remain with that vote. Didn't want any of the others on the list anyway and no idea who the sexy foreigner may be.

Fonseca, Mancini, Blanc, Tuchel, Enrique, Villas-Boas, Hasenhuttl, Jardim....

Now that Dave is a list I like to see, not like that poll booth. Whoever we need to take one on board for a long haul, this club is not just a 3 year job so if one of those were to sign we would need commitment.

Allardyce gets teams organised.

So do a lot of other managers.

There is a reason Allardyce hasn't progressed in his career. It is because he can't spot players, doesn't improve them and the football he plays is dire.

They've also been very unlucky unlike us who have been very lucky.

This is however good. I actually want to see if and how Silva turns it around.

If he does and finishes with Watford above us I would punt both Big Sam and Walsh in the summer.

Dyche was my pick

Still is

Think we've had a lucky escape with Silva personally

He strikes me as Martinez MKII
Yes because in hindsight Martinez was such a disaster with his free flowing football, going toe to toe with the top 6, 5th place finish, 2 semi finals and Europa run.

Grinding out a boring 7th place finish and early exits in all the cups is far better
