Its amazing how a few signings make everyone a bit more optimistic. I'm glad Martinez has gone out straight away and started bringing players in. We have bulked up the squad a bit now we want some bigger signings. Just hope we don't lose Bainsey to fund for them.

Do you not understand that it is also the manner and timing in which we have gotten these done in?

delighted to see Everton on the move once again, these are good signings I think.sick of hearing about David Moyes at this stage,do I really give a crap about his first day in office or his first interview.......no !.what is fairly obvious is that the three signings are keen to work with him and his coaching staff again, and that surely bodes well.

Two bench fillers and a striker who is decent without being hugely exciting. I'll keep calm for now to be honest. Especially as several other clubs have already made some very decent looking signings.

I'll be more excited if they play for us and show they can play the boss togger. Modern thing this: loads of fans yearning for exotic signings so they can do gay formations and profess about how boss we'll be.

I'll reserve judgement and remain firmly on the fence.

Spending massive amounts of money on a player is no guarantee of success.

Case in point the RS, who we've finished above the last 2 years.

I'm very optimistic, I think we've made some astute signings.

Well said mate couldn't agree more feels like we're actually going forward.

Roberto is positive and decisive, things are actually happening - seems an eternity since I've felt so positive about my Everton - can't wait for the new season.

Thanks Roberto for restoring enthusiasm (and hope!).

I'm quite amused that at the end of every season we have a thread or discussion in a thread about which players we should scab from the relegated teams, now that we've took decent players from a relegated team people are pissed off. I'm happy with this keeper. Young, could have a good ten years in him at the top flight, and full of promise.

Ha, very true Mr Pete!

Totally agree, don't know how anybody can be anything other than positive as we are about to enter a new era. Martinez has moved quickly to boost the squad, something that Moyes never done. Even if we don't make a big signing but just keep hold of what we have, I'm really excited to see what Martinez can do with our team.

If it all goes wrong, moan about it later, but not now.

I can see why people are happy, the majority of fans are made up when a club makes a signing regardless of the player. I'll be a lot more optimistic if come August we've got two more real quality acquisitions in together with the three we've signed this week.

Right now I'm ambivalent about it all, they're all decent additions to the squad but they're not taking us to 4th place.

Wise words mate. That massive bonce is obviously large for a reason.
