It's not a logical flaw (or floor if you prefer) though, which is the point being made. You're seemingly just completely incapable of understanding that different skillsets can be useful in different situations, no matter how slowly I go, so we'll leave it there.

I'm not completely incapable of understanding anything (the odd typo aside). I just believe it's a fallacy to suggest that the reason we lost against Spurs and City, 2 of the best teams in the league, if not Europe, is because a player who time and again has been underpar against lesser teams, didn't play.

As far as different skillets for different situations go, having a player with a skillet that doesn't undermine us in 2/3's of our games in a season would be a start.

Leaving it there is probably a good idea though. Your overinflated sense of self importance means you will never have any reasonable discussion on the matter anyway.

I’m condescending online but you’re like a whole other level.
You should see me in person. I'm actually very diplomatic, but when I read stupid, I just can't let it go.

But come on Nymzee, it's absurd. Several posters are slating Gana, yet he's wanted by PSG. Any replacement would already have been considered by PSG so it's clearly going to be a downgrade. Unless of course we think PSG are just dumb. After all, they did let Matuidi go, who is a remarkably similar if not better player.

Or they’re not even after Gana? I haven’t seen any credible links so far.

I hope they aren't too aggressively, but the links are all over the place.

I get the idea that we want to eventually replace the guy, but to do so in January would be pretty difficult.

He'll be good for PSG as he can just be left to do what he's good at in midfield before simply laying it off to their world class stars to do something. He is a little bit exposed in this team and system as he needs to contribute more to make up for the lesser quality we have in other areas of the pitch. Regardless though I do think we should sell him and getting a replacement in with the qualities we're missing in midfield will make us a better team.

Anything above 20m is good business imho.

Solanke cost £19m, are you really saying £20m for gueye is good. I'd only listen if they offered £35m.

This is correct.. the importance of the player to the selling club is also a factor as well, hence why we paid £50mil for Siggurdsson.. Also as Brands said Jan is a time when teams pay inflated fees because they are desperate.. so all things considered I'd want at least £30mil for Gueye.. or £25mil + a loan of a decent PSG player for the rest of the season, although I do not know if they have any spares we would want.

Really don't understand the hatred of Gana. Yes he's not the greatest at passing, but his ability to break-up play/energy is so vital and unrivaled. There's no way we'd be able to get someone with his energy and good at breaking up play to join us for a modest fee.
