Hard to say. Burnley were absolutely wank. I don't think we can learn much from that game as our players never had to move beyond 2nd gear.Really upped his game in the 2nd half, I thought. Just wish his minutes were managed better. I stand by it though, our best XI with everyone fit still has him in it.
"utterly dreadful" ... which football planet do you live on? Why do so many here have to exaggerate? It is never a "poor game" or "bad moment" but "utterly dreadful" or the like. Wierd and sad hyperbole, again and again. FFS get a grip.Weird performance tonight. Unreal and utterly dreadful in equal measure
Precisely mate.Not really mate.
That late chance could have been a contender for goal of the season had it not hit the bar. It was sublime.![]()
He did seem to be having funOne of the funnest things, in a fun night last night, was Idrissa forgetting he was himself and playing like he was Kaka.
I'm surprised at all the love, too. He was poor in the first half, imo. He was much improved in the second half, and I thought he played very well against the horse punchers, but I didn't think he was great last night at all.Judging by this thread, I may be in the minority but I thought he performed below his usual standards last night and gave the ball away on a handful of occasions when he really shouldn't have lost possession.
Usually I am one of the first to defend him and have backed him throughout both of his spells at the club but I am starting to think we may benefit from giving him a spell on the bench and utilising someone else. You can take your pick from Armstrong, Iroegbunam, Röhl or Alcaraz (when fit) in that regard.
Some fragile fans amongst us mate as soon as we get a good player they’re all “you’re an idiot if you think he’ll be here next season lmao” etc. sneering little weasels."utterly dreadful" ... which football planet do you live on? Covered every blade of grass and constantly pressed Burnley into making errors and threatend to score.Judging by this thread, I may be in the minority but I thought he performed below his usual standards last night and gave the ball away on a handful of occasions when he really shouldn't have lost possession.
