Just read HK was last English manager to win a European trophy ?
No idea if that right like, but very cool if so.

not that it matters, but just remembered Bobby Robson won the ECWC with Barca in the 90's. i guess for those interested in such things we could Say Kendall was the last English manager to win a European trophy with an English club.

Let's stick with the latter eh.. Good enough for me.

Signed and whether a stand is re-named in Howard's honour or not, this petition should afford the club a true picture of the depth of feeling from the fan base in respect of Howard Kendall.

I once suggested that one of the lounges at Goodison should be named after Eddie Cavanagh, we have so many iconic figures in our history, a Holy Trinity lounge is a must whether at Goodison or a new stadium.

Normally such things, especially statues anyway, are created in memory of those who have passed on. With Colin Harvey hopefully sticking around for a long time to come, we may not see a Holy Trinity tribute in that sense for a good while.

And re-naming a part of Goodison after Kendall may also require deeper thought than usual, as we may be moving at some point, tho' no reason not to carry the Kendall Stand naming to the new stadium.

Or an approach road to be Howard Kendall Boulevard or suchlike ?

After yesterday, I was made up to see that the account of the 86/87 season had been made available by the Esk..for the last nearly 2 hours I have wallowed unashamedly in nostalgia watching our greatest manager and his players and staff win the league...yes at times it was hard going watching and recalling how I felt watching Everton under HK, but in the end i know I was priveleged to have seen them and Howard at the top of their game. Thank you Howard for these memories which I will carry with me until its my turn to shuffle off this mortal coil.

The entrance road for vehicles to the Park End car park is actually an old street called Goodison Avenue. Change that to Howard Kendall Way/Avenue/Road/Boulevard.

I might be wrong, but changing a street name needs council approval I think... that would be an interesting decision.

I'm not local to Everton and I'm not old enough to have seen The Holy Trinity play (well, not together) and so I wouldn't want to be telling anyone what to do but for me a combined statue of the three players outside Goodison and to be unveiled by Colin Harvey would be what I would most like to see.

This...all day long

Man Utd have one of Best, Law and Charlton. It looks great and the fans love it. Two are still alive.
