As a younger fan seeing opposition supporters recall Everton teams of yore is very telling.
Thank you Howard for bringing that period when Everton were more than just "also-rans" to the rest of the world.
I'll hold my hands up I got emotional a little bit when I read the news today. Very uncharacteristic of me tbh but I guess that's what this club does for you. care far more than you should when losing someone as important as Howard was.
RIP
Glad that in his final years he got to be welcomed to Finch Farm.
An interview with him on the latest Everton TV ~20mins in

We all have to die sometime but it doesn't make it any easier when you lose someone close to you.I have never met him personally but when I heard the news today it was like losing a member of my own family.
To lose two Everton icons in a matter of months is heartbreaking, it feels like a big piece of me died today we are never going to see the likes of Bally , Kingy , Labone and now Howard again as modern football does not instill the same sense of loyalty in the game its not the players fault its just the game has changed and in my opinion for the worse.
Condolences to Howards family and thanks Howard for some of the greatest years of my life you will never be forgotten
He gave us many memories and happy ones.Villa Park and the FA Cup semi final of 1985-86 against a Sheff Wed team managed by Howard Wilkinson. And 47,000 fans singing as one "We're on the march with Howard's army"......the noise was deafening. Funny what sticks in the mind.
Sat here with a glass of wine, toasting the memories that Howard Kendall gave us.
