Absolute legend, who i don't feel got the recognition he deserved outside of Merseyside. RIP Howard

twas ever thus when regarding Everton...

Lineker just said Kendall managed the greatest club side he ever played for, even Venables (Barca's manager at the time) would agree, i reckon...those who know their history still champion that mid-80's Everton side.

Thanks for being in the holy trinity that helped my dad get chosen.

Thanks for giving my dad the best footballing memories of his life in the eighties.

Thanks for being the man behind the videos my dad got me to watch as a young lad that made me understand Everton.

RIP Boss

It's hard to explain how good we were under Kenwright. Bloody hell, good doesn't actually even cover Everton under it.

We were a great team because of him. It was a pleasure to watch us and that's why so many fans still have such high expectations and hopes.

If it were not for such a strong Liverpool side during the same period, and for other events, we would have dominated domestically and in Europe.

I remember being sat in a barbers reading 'Shoot' in about '85/86 and it had a table proving we were the best team in the world at the time

That is how good that team was....there wasn't a better one on the planet at the time

Been to see him many times at various after dinner events. A very warm approachable person, witty and self depreciating.

Not just a loss to Everyonians, but also to the whole of football.

Standing at the bar in the great pub in the sky.

RIP Howard. The word legend is very misused, but not in this case.

Never forgotten .
