Does anybody remember the Merseyside v Manchester game at Anfield back in the late 80's or early 90's?
I'd actually love that to happen again the rivalry in the city has got a bit too bitter for my taste.

I think I'd enjoy watching that as a friendly.

Don't mind it for testimonials but the derby should be kept for competitive games only otherwise. Unlike most other fixtures it actually means something for the fans (probably why we always lose tbh) and putting on a derby in a foreign country would cheapen the fixture for both the foreign neutral fans and the fans of the two clubs. I can just imagine it being to the real thing as a school play is to a west end production leaving everyone more bored and disappointed than usual.

Actually, outside of semi finals and finals, we have a half decent record.
Back to the point of the thread.....its a no from me.

Going back over the years our cup record, again, outside semis and finals is far better than our recent league encounters.

Anyone remember the 0-0 at Goodison? Must have been around the late 90s.

It was a tournament and the ground seemed pretty full. Very young at the time so can't remember much more than that.
