How would the UK react to the second coming of Jesus?

As a society, our morality came from religion. You know things like adultery, murder, rape, theft, prostitution, abortion, etc. We adopted these ideals into our culture but simultaneously, started to drift away from religion as these ideals became mutually exclusive with following a religion.

Please tell me what morally good things does the bible have to say about these topics.

I suppose on topic, what do you think Jesus would think of the way his ideology was warped into what we know as organised religion and what has been done in his name?

One of my favourite Family Guy clips is when Peter meets Jesus working in a record shop. He asks him for one favour and that is to go to a George Bush speech where he is talking about 'in the name of Jesus, etc.'. Jesus goes on stage and states 'You know nothing of my work'.

It is funny because that is exactly how I see the bible and religion. It is people piggy backing off the word of somebody who lived long before even the first stories came to print. I honestly believe that there might have been somebody who at the time acted a bit like Jesus is stated to, in the books. Obviously, without the actual magic but more tricks, just like Paul Daniels but maybe without the same comedy stylings.

No, as a society, our religion came from our morality, which came from our culture.

But back to the Second Coming of Jesus. Would he be Jewish again?

Deuteronomy 22:28-29

28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered,(A) 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels[a] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

What would Jesus have to do today to be recognised as the second coming? Even if you believe in him from the bible or church; it'd have to be some incredible event.

Does the second coming result in him having to die again for our sins? Honest question as I have no idea. I'm off to investigate what the second coming is all about, and also @emir 's claim that Islam expect it too. Be back in a while.

Mate, it'll not be like the first time around were Jesus was given birth to then grew to be a man. It is said that his return will be via the clouds and with a very loud (trumpet) noise. So there will be no mistaking his arrival or who he is. He will not die (again) for our sins (he's done that already) but will destroy all the nations of the Earth who turn against him etc.

Obviously there is more to it than that but I've not read a Bible in many years, so my knowledge is probably a bit off to say the least.

He'd come on here without ever having created an account and post in the Benitez thread.
Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry.

Has he any pase about him, get him signed surly the son of God could boss the Midfield, either that or invite him out and get absolutely pissed and it would be a free night you'd only have to order water, I wonder could he turn it to Stella instead of wine.
Parts of this forum can turn anything into whine.....God Bless us all.

Why are you quoting me this?
