How will we finish top 6 as it stands?.

Leicester are a much more dynamic side than ours, capable of scoring a fair few, will depend on if they can tighten their defence back up.

It's not so much can others catch us but can we slip down. As it stands we're a Keane injury away from a defence partnership of Williams and jagielka. We saw how much we miss and rely on schneiderlin at the weekend. Poor wing options and no one up top hat can slot regularly
I Don't disagree with that, but just think we're a couple of shrewd signings away from being a very good side

With deadline day edging closer and closer most will agree that we may have messed up this window. We have spent £150m with key areas not getting addressed (so far). But my question is are we any closer to the top 6. Obviously Keane and Pickford improve us, but do any of the other signings?. Is Sig better than Barkley, and are Rooney and Sandro going to get more goals than are 20+ a season goal machine Lukaku?. Is Klassen better than what we already have in Davies?. Come tomorrow if we don't get a good striker things may look like things really haven't improved much.

Oddly enough I think we have a splendid chance of making the top six this season.

I think the Arsenal implosion is real this time and the curse of Wembley will cost Spurs dearly.

None of the teams behind us, with the possible exception of Leicester, particularly concern me so despite the absolute levels of farce this transfer has descended too, albeit there is still over 24 hours to go, I think top six is well within our grasp.

But don't ask me where the goals are going to come from

I really am baffled by the mood amongst Evertonians at the moment? I appreciate we all want a striker, but for people to say this window has been a disaster is mind-boggling? Do we have a better keeper? Yes, by ten-fold.
Do we have a better backline? Yes, Keane has improved our defence no end!
Do we have a better midfield? Well Siggsville alone makes that a big fat yes, never mind the other additions?
So what about up front? I personally think Sandro will show up after ten games or so!
Does Rooney look like he can replace Barkley? yes of course he does! So forgive me for being easily pleased, but I think this had been a fantastic window, and it isnt finished yet!

When Spurs spent the Bale money, they briught in. A large number of players all at the same time! They did not immedialtely click and start producing top 6 form, it took over a season to bed in, give it some time lads, we will get there!

Not a chance, we will struggle to score goals with the present squad of players.

We just don't look like scoring, every team we have played so far the opposing goalkeeper has had an easy ride

Simple answer to the post. We won't.

We aren't able to compete with the sides ahead of us off the field which hinders our on field progress.
Unless one of the top 6 suffers a catastrophic meltdown we will finish 7th.
However, the UEFA Cup offers us a 'back door' into the big league and the chance to compete moving forwards.

We're missing our entire right side at the moment which would give pace and movement. However we are currently slow and without ideas. We need the striker and a frigging good one
