How will we finish top 6 as it stands?.

At the minute, in an attacking sense we lack pace, height, and players who can run with the ball. Defensively we are short of numbers, short of quality and look quite old.
The manager doesn't seem to have a discernible style of play. We don't especially press teams and aren't great at keeping the ball.
We have potentially another 15 games to play in Europe.

And people are talking about top 5?

Other teams has problems aswell. We can reach 5th. with the right attitude.

We've added some good players but our attack has been eviscerated. About 8-9 th this season, as Leicester look stronger than we do and there's bound to be some surprise package.

We just won't score enough goals.

Spending £150m should have helped improve the first team. At the moment I honestly don't see too much improvement in the first 11. Better squad? Yes. Better first 11 I'm not so sure
The squad was terrible though. With the state that it was in and with Lukaku and Barkley on their way we needed a lot of players, especially with the added fixtures of the Europa League.

To realistically challenge the top 4 I think we need at least a top class striker, winger and central defender.

We don't have a cat in hell's chance of finishing in the top 6. People need a reality check and book themselves into rehab.

We are approaching transfer deadline day and have a manager who doesn't have the slightest clue who his best 11 is, has allowed the club to reach this deadline without an out and out striker to replace Lukaku....who announced he was leaving 6 months ago, and has the team currently playing hoofball to a 20 year old striker, playing on the right wing.

Pathetic.

But oh aye, we will break that top 6 this season.

The consensus seems to be some of the teams above us last season having meltdowns and dropping points.
The above coupled with us finishing fifteen points ahead of our nearest rivals as last season.
Much as I would love it, I cant see it happening.
Hoping for best of the rest again. Sorry.
