'How Pierluigi Collina blew it for David Moyes and Everton in 2005'

Have you noticed UNTS last 2 home games the first goal they have scored twice were dubious decisions by the Ref and his assistants - nothing against DM this time but he never in a million years got gifts of opening goals like that at Goodison seems to me all the top 4 teams seem to get there share of luck - luck at Sunderland on sat v arsenal the good equalise unescerry ruled out - then that retired Ref Halsey states in a book he was on the telephone to top Managers SAF in particular most times while refereeing - out of order to say the least! I suspect things are not correct in that RESPECT!

You are right, but its always been that way.

The bigger clubs get the decisions.

Ask Bolton & QPR and the likes if they get anything at Goodison!

Two thoughts about Uniteds first goal. That official that stands next to the goal with a relay baton in his hand. What in gods name does he do? How did it not cross his mind that Valencia is in fact standing on the keeper.

Even worse than that, it took Andy Townsend, the paid pundit about 10 replays to even notice that it was Valencia impeeding the kepper that they were complaining about, then he starts having a pop at the ref for not seeing it!!

Can anyone find the video of the press conference in which Collina is asked, presumably by an Evertonian, whether he took a bung to make sure Everton lost at Villareal. Classic.

We do not get the amount of pens at Goodison as the top four in fact Victor scored two good goals last season both ruled out cost us 2 points! one was a yard over the line!

Nowhere near as bad as the Clive Thomas semi final decision in the semi final v the SH*** at Maine Road in what was the late winner ruled out in a 2-2 draw we were under dogs got it back to 2-2 and Bryan Hamilton scored a perfectly good winning goal - the Liverpool players never appealed - I cried that day as they beat us easily in the replay robbed by a controversial prat of a Welsh referee who stated it was offside = NO then claimed he gave it for a hand ball = never - What a bad ref he really was!

Good to know Everton have been getting screwed by refs well before I even started my support. Crappy refereeing that.

Quite possibly the worst refereeing decision for Everton in my time of supporting Everton (yeah, worse than Clattenberg in the derby)

I agree, worse than Clattenburg, worse than Poll.

Obviously nothing would say we'd have gone much further but we'll never know.

We probably wouldn't have gone much further. But the income from the group stages would have changed the course of our history. We'd have been more attractive to new players and new investors.

It annoys me how much power refs have sometimes
