No, I was pissed off. Probably shouldn't have used the word happy, as I'm never happy when we lose.

I just think in the grand scheme of things I'd rather us have as little games as possible before we can buy more players.

Tonight proved right too as the fringe players are blatantly not good enough.

What is worse, Norwich used more fringe players than we did

It was the same last season.....they put out a second eleven and we still needed penalties to beat them....

Momentum is a huge factor in any sport. We threw away a great run we were on with a whimper and blew the feel good factor in one foul swoop.

Hugely frustrating.

Probably a bit over the top, Tim......but right now I feel the same.

Riding along on the crest of a wave since Saturday.....then this happens.

It makes the Bournemouth game even more vital, as we need to restore what was a brittle confidence to begin with

I wasn't there tonight nor did I see it on TV but from following on Sky and reading on here, it seems to me very much like the way the game on Saturday was plodding along until Boro scored.

And indeed that dismal first half at Sunderland.

We are still far to slow to get going in games.

Everybody actually fuming.

I got over my fume in the drive home, it sucks, but yano, we have bigger fish to fry this season.
Hopefully so. If we do well in the league this will be forgotten.
However one of only 3 avenues of success this season has been ended tonight, which is never a good thing.

I genuinely dont get the "not arsed" crowd here.

We have 3 changes to win a trophy this season. League Cup, FA Cup, the League. We haven't won a thing in over two decades. If the mentality is "it's a nothing competition", would that NOT be our best chance of winning it?

Never seen Everton lift a trophy. I think you lot who remember the great days should show a little more respect to a competition that could show a lot of newer fans their first ever trophy being lifted.
