Not even slightly bothered.
A total hinderence of a competition with no tangible long term gain at the end of it.

I want to end our trophy drought but I ideally want it to be with a prize worthy of the wait. This thing is hideous.

The only downside was seeing that even under a better training regime some of the squad are simply not fit to wear the shirt.

Stay in the top 4 and when the window opens get the business done that we struggled with in the summer.

Squad is threadbare not in numbers but ability, RK knows this and I guess that's why he wasn't that annoyed in his post match interview. The league comes first imo, didn't Leicester do this last year?

Arsed. Only positive was a nice salute for Naismith (although his strike was flukey). Could have done with a ruthless Scotsman up front ourselves tonight :-/. Only 1 stat matters.

The league matters far more to our long-term plan. Clearly reaching two semifinals did nothing to move the needle with our lofty transfer targets or maybe some of them would be here.

Exactly. Fans wants shiny pots worth 200k in revenue. The elite players and clubs want league title challenges and CL.
The LC semi hardly registered with me last season as the league form was so poor.
I hate going out of the FA Cup but not this one.

Awful that. We need to win a trophy, and its easiest one to win and we go out without a fight at home to lower league opposition!

Never ever the easiest to win. I view it as the most difficult due to squad changes, cheap tickets and a lack of media coverage making for a flat atmosphere plus the stupid 2 game semi. It has an effect on the players too. The whole tournament is rubbish.

As its one of the two trophies we have a realistic chance of winning then it's very disappointing to go out at such an early stage.

Koeman played a squad team with six changes, although Lukaku an enforced one, and perhaps showed where his priorities lie. It frustrates us as fans to see in effect shadow teams playing but it did give RK a chance to see our cover just isn't there.

Mori is dreadful - admittedly he's not a left back granted but he was a liability and exposes the weaknesses if Jags or Williams are injured.

If you have to play him though, it has to be centre-back he isn't versatile and just can't be moved.

Deulofeu - seemed to have lost some confidence since losing his place and was woeful when he did have a chance ballooning over the bar.

Lennon - any ability he had when first signed seems to have evaporated, involved in one near chance when the keepers leg saved them after a deflection but has to go.

Cleverley - crab-like and ineffectual

Barkley - Against Boro he showed a big improvement but tonight he was back to his ponderous worst. He needs too many touches and ends up losing it, The crowd do get frustrated but he's definitely now in the last chance saloon. He may be saved as Gerry was poor and a lack of alternatives but RK won't be at all pleased - a big step backwards

Valencia - Simply lightweight and not strong enough.

When Valencia was bought late on deadline day after other deals had fallen through, i thought it was almost as an afterthought to try and pacify fans frustrated by other deals not completing, and was in no way part of any of our real plans. Since then he's been benched and kept just as cover. It would have been far better to walk away with no pointless last minute deals, the lad just isn't up to it.
