Never happy losing but I'm consoling myself on the fact we are 2nd in the league. I'd rather get a decent league finishing position than get to 2 cup semi's and finish 11th.

Once we've bought some top brass then we can attack the cups knowing we have the team to give it a good crack. At the moment we would be relying on another team having a meltdown. I do however reserve the right to change my mind if Norwich play Preston in the final, if that happens then i'm 100% full fume about this result.

Seven over six months. Equivalent to over one extra league game a month.

By going out of it, we now potentially play five fewer games from now until February than a direct rival, which is obviously the equivalent of a month of league games.

You mean a 'direct rival' such as Liverpool, Southampton, Spurs? The ones in Europe that are going to be playing all over the continent AND also in this cup as well?

It's 1 match a month. They are professional football players. If 1 match becomes the proverbial straw that breaks the camels back then we have far bigger issues.
