Realistically, I think £15-18M could just well be enough to prize away our Mikky...
I know this doesn't sound like much, but I'm sure the Everton board will be salivating with the possibility of a potential sevenfold profit on MA and at end of the day, they rule the roost, not DM...

15m wouldnt come close to prizing him away. 25m at the least

No dont believe he will. Rooney was a disposable asset, Mikel is god. Bill would have to produce something remarkable to come back from that 1

If we sold Mikey then what we'd get Love and would have to pay steeper wages for him. Sorry no way would I exchange Mikey for Love. Do the Russians start their season in March? If that's the case he's going to be wiped out as soon as he gets here.

Why would Moyes sell for 15 million when lesser players are going for more? He may well leave but it'll be for more than 15 million, I have no doubts about that.

I hope your right, but i honestly think if we did get a bid of £15m and Mikel really wanted to go, it would be out of our control. But i really do think he loves this club and it appears he is massive friends with Cahill.

Would i blame him for wanting to play CL football and move to a club with a better chance of silverware, no. Would i be heartbroken and angry if he left, yes.

I really hope its all paper talk or Mikel gives them a thanks but no thanks, because if we did sell him, it would cost a huge amount of money to replace him, even though i doubt he can be replaced, when he plays we play, he is our heart.

The window ends on the 2nd Feb, i hope and pray that we sell NOBODY, if we had to sell somebody, im fairly sure Arteta would be on every1s top 3 of NOT to sell.

I also hope and pray that we don`t have to sell anybody but needs must as the devil drives. I cannot possibly see what benefit it would be to sell Arteta. BUT who knows which way Bullshit Billy will go ?

I don't think Bill would risk it, if he made Moyes sell Arteta then Moyes would probably leave. He wouldn't risk that.

If Mikel wants to leave then we will give a set price and whoever matches it will get him. If no one matches it then he'll stay just like Villa did with Barry.

It's January, I can't see Moyes letting anyone go. He just couldn't risk it, especially a player like Arteta who is a key player. Maybe in the summer but not now.

I think at this point, in the middle of a campaign, it would be absurd to sell Arteta. He can make all the difference between us finishing top 6 or not. Unless Arsenal want to pay an obscene amount, like £20m or more, I fail to see any benefit. And even then, £20m would only get us a striker in that may or may not fit Everton's style of play.

Arteta has only just signed a new contract, so can't see him wanting to leave. Unless it's for a spanish side.

It would be razy to sell him mid-season. Wait till the summer an get £20m for him. If thats how it has to be like!!

Good point mate. and as his name has cropped up, recession or no, there is no way on earth (or any other [Poor language removed] planet for that matter), that Gareth Barry is worth more than Mikel Arteta. Selling the guy is one thing, but the price mentioned is laughable

Agreed with everyone else.

At least 20M.

Also, we'd have to replace him and everyone would know that we'd have that 20M burning a hole in our pocket. Therefore, any potential replacement for Arteta would cost more as well.

I just don't see it happening.

Also, we could conceivably catch Arsenal this year. Don't know if Mikky would want to make a potential sideways move.
