I’ve supported Everton for 60+ years, I’ve always believed we were better than the RS. But it seems that we are not, and that common decency has been removed from our behaviour. There are many on here who tbh are absolute cretins of the first order. When my club behaves like the RS it’s time to reflect. Of course those doing this will laugh and continue, but you’re not real Evertonians……

I’m done with this thread…carry on being uncaring @rseholes…and the next time your grandmother, mother or whatever passes away just remember your disgraceful attitude on here…..

Clearly not!

Cry just a little bit more….

As well as being a grandmother/mother the Queen was also a public figure and as such people are going to have views on their role/history/behavior. This is especially true at death when people traditionally consider someones legacy and those views may not always exactly align with your own.

Can I perhaps introduce you this chap who seems to understand that concept?

No idea. There are those who can look at both sides or a debate, even while supporting one side, and there are those who will only countenance one side of a debate and refuse to even try to see the other side. Maybe it’s an age thing, I don’t know, but it seems that younger elements are less likely to look at both sides…maybe they’ll grow out of it, or maybe the planet is doomed to split into two……

Whilst I agree with the chap you quoted. A 96 year old woman, a grandmother and a mother, who is known by pretty well everyone on the planet has died. Those that love her should be allowed to do so, those that don’t should just keep quiet. We have many moments at Goodison where people, who we don’t necessarily know, have died and we give appropriate condolences, is it asking too much to extend this behaviour to our countries Monarch……

I agree with the first point and don’t see ow anyone is stopping that, disagree on the second.

Has anyone forbidden you to love the queen? You could just ignore the posts that don't show sufficient sadness/reverence, maybe then you'll get through what must be a trying time a little easier.

It's selective hearing/reading/understanding, it's why johnson is so sacred. "You don't conform with my view/belief so are automatically the enemy".
Few if any have been making light of the suffering of the family, no one is championing dancing on her grave (unlike the iron tw"i"t) but it fits the echo chamber to have a go, "uncaring", "disrespect", and a host of other buzz words the 'alright jacks' spout in their congregation of privilege.

Shambles!

Thought you were done with Everton and all the horrid serfs who have the temerity to hold differing views to your own?

Usual Saturday though isnt it, you had a few pints and fancy a bit of a moan and a whinge and this weeks topic is because the head lizard has shed its final skin and protected its final nonce and we aint all sad?
