A question for many of you. When heads of State, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Chancellors or indeed Royalty would visit the U.K. who did they really want to meet, Maggie, Major, Blair, Brown, Cameron, May, Boris …or The Queen ?

Another question. When the U.K. needed to repair relations with a country (think USA and Suez crisis as an example) who did we send ?….

Other countries manage handling international crisis just fine and that’s fine and dandy if the royal family have someone compliant and with the integrity to do such things. What happens if we end up with a big racist despot? Shouldn’t be a role they have anything to do with.

To be fair, Mountbatten was blown into mince meat by the RA, so there was at least some justice there, unlike Saville.

It keeps happening as well which is the most telling part.
Not just Mountbatten & Andrew, but associations with Saville (Charles’ best mate and introduced to the family by Mountbatten), Rolf Harris and worst of all in my view, Cyril Smith who was knighted at Thatchers behest despite having been arrested on multiple occasions for fiddling with little boys (all made to go away before reaching court of course)

There is plenty of people who couldn’t give a monkeys about them but are scared of saying a thing. People are scared to upset people and rock the boat.

I think one of the biggest problems we have is those who do not "get" why people have an issue with the queen or the monarchy.

They say they don't understand, it's more that they do not want to understand because they could not give a toss about the suffering of others and will instead attempt to shame those people for not mourning. It's wrong.

It's all the same type of people doing it too. Clarkson and his ilk.
