She clearly chooses to totally ignore the cultural realities of slavery within African societies at the time. Causality for the European involvement in the slave trade was in Africans selling already enslaved Africans to the early traders that arrived. But this is not for this thread, just that silly womans hate filled, myopic bias in blaming the queen for slavery.

I dont think shes blaming the Queen, but pointing out the monarchy supported slavery and profited from it.

Shes entitled to be angry, but it's probably not the optimal moment to be saying it.

That being said, I've probably called Andrew a nonce about 100 times over the last 24 hours, so theres a lot of pot, kettle and black from me!

The rumour is she actually died in the very early hours of Thursday morning. But protocol dictated that the family must be summoned to where ever she was to have their private moment.

The plebs (that’s us) then get to find out some hours later and then queue the media frenzy.

The only person I ever worked for was an elderly nice head Gardener in Lancashire who stated that when he worked as a young gardener it was a rule when the Lord of the manor walked or drove past the gardeners had to doff their caps, or they would be in serious trouble from him sacked probably.......

Does anyone know what HRH died from?

That absolute pelt from the beeb, Nicky Wichal, said something about cancer yesterday.

Did HRH have Cancer?
Who knows, could be true, She'd lost a bit of weight but, as I've recently seen.
You do at that age.
In reality, She died from complications of being 96, when you get to that age it's a bit of a photo finish thing on what actually sees you off...again from recent experience.

Lack of breath used to be a common, if slightly heartless answer, when you asked what somebody died of.
Your body has a finite life span, sometimes you just wear out, stop.
