I acknowledge that she may not have a been a particularly popular figure for some people (for whatever reason) but some of the crassness that's permeated social media over the last 12 hours has been awful really. Her death isn't something to be celebrated.
You can disagree with the monarchy all you like, but what exactly was the problem with
her? ?

she pretty much led us into this modern Britain and did the same for the commonwealth...
And? she was still a person. A person who did an astounding amount for this country and the commonwealth. Just because she was part of a regime that, many many years ago, got up to some unsavory business that doesn't make her guilty by default. She did more than anyone to 'undo' some of the past mistakes, including the decolonisation of many countries into independence.
She’s resided over us for most Britons whole lives, during that period the country has deteriorated in to what can only be described as a bit of a mess right now.
Whilst I appreciate her influence on the state of the nation has little to do with her, her life hasn’t changed at all. If anything, her fortunes have grown which means she has had less effect in comparison to others who are struggling worse than they ever have before. Furthermore, she has had the scandals of the treatment of Harry & Meghan, and the cover up of Prince Andrew, both in quite recent times.
All that coupled with the Princess Diana situation means her reputation has been damaged.
I think this is why you are not seeing the outpouring of sadness which the media are trying to force on us, and why you are seeing the responses people are giving which people like yourself are so outraged with.
The monarch has passed its sell by date, in my opinion. They don’t actually do anything or have any influence over the country and sit back whilst the government which they swear in, leaves us all in the situation which we are now. The sooner the newspapers stop reporting on them and they pale in to insignificance, the better.
I will happily enjoy a day off work to mourn her, though.
