What proof he’s a buffoon

While I wouldn't call him a buffoon, it's pretty clear a low ball offer is going to be laughed out the door at this stage of the window (i.e. not even started yet).

A sub 10m offer might be accepted towards the end of August if no one else comes in by then, or perhaps Middlesbrough think they could fall back on at least that amount in the Jan window, if he's had a good season so far and hasn't been injured.

If we want players to be in the door for the first day of pre-season, which given how undercooked we were last year is pretty necessary, negotiations have to be decisive and swift. In short we may have to pay a little more to conclude deals early, but if we choose value above everything else, then we'll be scratching our arses again almost to the end of the window to assemble our team*

*The one caveat to the above is if clubs' are likely going to fail PSR/SCR rules for 2025/26. In that case a bargain might be had early on. Middlesbrough don't appear to be that type of club to me.

I was asking where this low ball offer came from, Everton aren’t going to go to the likes of Joyce and Boyland and say we’ve low balled Middlesbrough. Thai is coming from Middlesbrough, they are trying to save face because they’re losing their best player

Also since Moyes took over he's mentioned about stopping any leaks within the club, a couple of journos and bobble get small bites and probably purposely so other than that nothing is being leaked so some sweaty little nerd running an Everton news page that probably has one for other clubs and making money from click bait sure as hell isn't going to have any inside info on the club yet same people take all the negative nonsense as gospel. I could literally spend 30 minutes and create one of them accounts doesn't mean I have any credible information.

….i hoped both would be a success, still genuinely feel that way about Dibling. I just think blaming Moyes for his failings is wrong. Saying that, blaming Moyes for signing him is reasonable.

The problems aren't the sweaty little nerds running the sites, it's the people following them and spreading everything they write.
They don't have a platform without followers.
