You have to sell your project to them and after last summers signings, you need a new selling point.

He will sign players but if there is another premiership club interested why would they choose to sign for Moyes? He is 40 years older than most of the potential players he hasn't had an original thought in his head since the last century.

I always wondered why Dave had such a grudge against Archie Gray, considering he's barely played enough to upset anyone. Then I read that his grandad and great uncle both snubbed Celtic for Leeds when they were youth players

Well, to be fair we can assume that Gana, Iroegbunam and Alcaraz are all likely to leave.

That leaves us with:

Garner
Dewsbury-Hall
Armstrong
Röhl

The first two are nailed on 1st XI players. Everyone likes Armstrong but he's v young and it's a bit much to be asking him to play as a starter. There's question marks about most of Röhl's game and his fitness, so we'd be wise not to rely on him either.

Hackney will be 24 later this month and is a good age. He'll challenge for a 1st XI spot, but that only leaves you with 3 players you're happy starting games. Garner can play as a 6 or an 8, but he'll be the only one in the squad who can play as a 6, so it makes sense to bring in someone else who can do that job and allow us to play Garner as an 8.

I think it makes perfect sense tbh, I just wasn't anticipating as much overhaul in the midfield areas.
