We've tried with a pathetically low bid, so now whoever is in charge of our transfers will be hoping Palace go and get him for what would likely prove to be a reasonable £20m so they can say "we can't offer Europe" or something.

I would too.

But there are some people here who cant see that the Prince William factor has elevated this trophy's status via the BBC to something it never was - even last summer for Spurs never mind some bang average euro-clubs.

People are being played and making themselves unhappy that Everton haven't won "the new CL-strength" Mickey Mouse Europa League.

Utterly baffling that some people are mugged off by this. I can see through it in an instant.

Go and look at the Spanish team in tears and pissing their pants after Portugal beat them in that final...a picture speaks a thousand words, they say.

I mean, what is there to recommend Everton to a player if he has other PL suitors? The thought of being part of a Moyes team - especially in CM - would be enough to put anyone off.

Seriously: unless the club are offering way over the top wages in comparison with what other clubs will offer players you'd never go near Everton. Not with this joyless and clueless manager in charge.
