We had the joint 6th best goals conceded record in the league with Arsenal and the only teams that conceded less finished above us. Goal keeper wise over the course of a season we've had to go through probably 3 keeper wobbles with 2 different keepers, yes Joel got some form and went on to have 10 clean sheets (puts him about 6th best in the league) but bar some mental games which happen from time to time they've been good. Of course Gana and later probably Schniderlin along with the teams overall better work ethic have helped those figures bit I don't think they've been that bad. They've had some stinkers don't get me wrong!

We smashed 3 or 4 by Villa with Gana as well and he looked anonymous... Just saying.

I mean clearly Maguire isn't exactly great but we also can't exactly sign 4 or 5 first teamers and expect they won't moan when we don't play them. IF, big IF (as much as him, the fatso) he joins, he can probably do a great backup job really. Don't expect he'll be a starter unless injuries.

We have to take into consideration the fact that he's still young, and our two main CB's are well past their prime, while Funes Mori is, well, Funes Mori.

Haha, they have their moments mate. I think individually they've both had periods were they've been very good but never at the same time as the other

Funny how people don't learn from last year's Gana thread.

Don't know if the Maguire story is true like, but as someone who has watched a lot of Hull City games this season, I can testify to him being very good. Didn't expect him to be, 'cos he looks like a big slobbering refrigerator, but he's impressed me most times I've seen him.
