I don’t really get what they want.... do they want to earn off his status? If so accept the scrutiny and BS that comes with. Do they want to keep out of news? In which case stop going on TV with knobheads like Corden and playing on your Royal Heritage.
I get she / they have had a hard time in the media, but there does seem to be a bit of wanting their cake and eating it.

Wozzers! They got some balls doing that. Excommunicated springs to mind, there is no coming back from this. I'm sure the Palace will instruct some gatherings to look welcoming but behind the scenes it will be frostier than a 2 week tenting holiday in Antarctica.
I admire it in one way - going out all guns blazing however being British I wished they could have kept a stiff upper lip and said nothing and just got on with their lives. They didn't need revelations to bring in the income. We are all aware the Royals are a bit pompous.
