Current Affairs Harry and Meghan Part 3: I can't think of a snappy subtitle

I've seen a few people on Facebook fully in support of this Daily Star headline. I don't really follow this kind of news but I don't remember ever seeing anything that shows Meghan Markle to be particularly publicity shy. She's been a famous actress for years then married on of the most famous men in the world.
Surely there's a huge difference between not wanting your private relationship with your father made public and being publicity shy.
So what's the real story behind this headline?

the real story is that we have a press who think (correctly) the law doesn't really apply to them

Why is correct for the law not to apply to the press?

It absolutely isn't, but its hard to see how it (the criminal law anyway) does apply to them - in the most recent phone hacking scandal (which was really about corrupting public servants, but phone hacking sounds less bad) no hacks were convicted, nor was any newspaper management.

The only people who went down - in some cases for years - were the people they'd corrupted.

Andy coulson went to jail didn’t he?

He didn't, though he did resign. It was one journalist (Clive Goodman) who got banged up.

There was a worse scandal slightly earlier than that (Operation Motorman) which was again about corruption but some of the corrupted public servants involved got off after the judge at the trial asked the not unreasonable question of why the journalists who'd paid them weren't in the dock.

edit: sorry, yes - you are right, Coulson went down the second time

Now doing an interview with Oprah, brilliant the fume they are causing in our stuffy establishment is pure gold... The king and Queen of Wokism are proper wind up merchants, we should all bend the knee.

Nothing that VPN won't sort out going forwards, not in keeping with spoon fed news nation we are, but that's down to individual choice.

Are they still taking pictures of young actresses getting out of cars when drunk in the hope of getting an up skirt shot that they can sell off to one of those gaudy celeb magazines so they can publish it as a ‘wardrobe malfunction’?

An act that would get anyone else a permanent publication on the sex offenders register.

That was all the rage for years, the dirty gits.

Pretty horrible fact, but deliberately taking an up skirt photo of someone without their consent only became a crime a year or two ago
