Yeah. My wife is just sweeping up the bits off the floor now and wiping down the brain matter off the ceiling. lol

I'll just be glad to see them both off the front pages to be honest. I got bored with it all a long time ago.

They're entitled to do as they wish with their lives (within legal boundaries obviously) and I'm happy now that the break with the royal family seems to be unconditional and permanent. I hope they have a long and fulfilling life together and wish them both the very best in that regard.

Their duty was to the nation but they soon jibbed that off.
Yes, service is universal. Being paid millions for spaffing about in front of the media isn’t. That’s just for the privileged few.

The Sovereign Grant is a tiny, tiny fraction of government spending and probably one of the bits that actually gets rather a lot of value for the money.

In fact I'd be interested to learn of any major country that spends as little on its head of state (just the new Air Force One, for example, costs 68 times what the sovereign grant costs a year).

...fair point, I was more reflecting the emphasis on Royal blood and the Royal line. I’m not doubting the love Charlie might have for him.
