Actual quotes and context.
Given we still have an outside chance of Europe and given that Grealish might be a long-term absentee and we could and probably will have more injuries and suspensions sending him back would be crazy. But then Moyes.
Based only on what I saw against Villa I think he's ahead of Iroegbunam (who often looks gassed around the 70 minute mark) Rohl has improved but his injury record is still a concern and although I'd imagine Moyes will start Gana automatically really KDH's injury means we should keep him here.….we have a CM axis of 3, with these showing they’re very capable in those positions;
KDH
Garner
Gueye
Iroegbunam
Rohl
Armstrong
You could also factor in Alcaraz and McNeil as possibilities but difficult to see either gate crashing the party.
That’s quite a lot of options and it’s an area we look particularly strong. When fit, Garner and KDH look a shoo-in so in reality we have 4 (Gueye, Iroegbunam, Rohl and Armstrong) vying for one position.
Heckingbottom says ‘David and his coaches know what they have with Armstrong’, but I wonder if he’s actually surprised them with his level. Saying that, looking at all the options we have then it might not be the biggest surprise if Armstrong goes back even though I prefer him to stay.
The potential, the level of his ceiling, yes. Is he yet, No.Doubt it, he’s the best midfielder we have and he’s proved it in a few games.
The club or Moyes?Getting a bit drawn out this , terrible management from the club tbh
