2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Noticed that he was playing a lot more centrally than out on the wing. Him and Ndiaye did a bit of drifting/switching areas, as well, in the 2nd half.

Enjoyed his performance. Not scared to mix it up either, as shown with the incident with Fernandes (who has permanent whinging face).

Maybe not his natural position, but showed enough that he is learning a different side of the game and is easily up to this level of football.

Baffled by him playing where he is, especially given no shortage of options.
I just don't get DM we had a midfield of 3 away at Villa garner was MOTM - I thought well that's great a midfield 2 always leaves us exposed on the break away & the engine room of our team now looks solid & creative - & We won well - to a side unbeaten in 10 games -

Then DM just changes everything - we looked better without Garna - & he has played every week .....

Could it be that we feel he isn’t ready to be starting premier league games in the middle of the park yet?

It’s often spoke about how Diblings eventual position will be central, but he’s not ready yet. Nobody questions that.

How’s it any different with Armstrong?

He is class mate - compare Gana to him who just goes A wall - since he has come back our midfield is pants - HA in the midfield is where he should play not on the left wing - like many others square pegs in round holes down to DM !

It’s mad how many of our fans don’t rate Gana.

I’m sure Armstrong will go on to have a stellar career, but come on mate, he’s not better than Gana at this moment in time.

We as in the club. But yeah, the manager if you like.

He’s gaining valuable premier league match experience.

It’s not unheard of for a young player to earn his stripes in a more forgiving position than the one he will eventually play.
Wish he'd be gaining it at his actual position - there's no shot he does any worse than Gueye there for the last few months anyway.

And we had a left winger/left-sided forward on the bench.

We rate Gana. If this was 24/25, he'd be rated highly, player of the season and all.

It's just not 24/25 anymore and he's playing all the time, went to AFCON, is knackered, is off the boil, yet keeps playing, which is why people call for him to be off currently, even if for a refresher for a few games. There's no chance Armstrong is worse than current-day/game-Gana, yes.
