2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

…..terrific to see the faith the Manager has in him, proof if you’re good enough you’re old enough.

The fact he’s here suggests Moyes wants to use him and trusts him enough in a number of roles. I can’t see him starting most games but I have no doubt he’ll eventually be a mainstay in whatever his best position is.

Let’s hope George is next to make a positive impact.

This isn't the first time I've said this I'm almost certain, but supporters are allowed to have different thoughts and feeling towards the club than yours without it making them lesser. The only thing you really tend to contribute around here is a looking down your nose arrogance toward more or less everyone, and it's a sad existence. People care in different ways and want to see different things. I want us to win each and every week, but I want us to be a side that actually exists at a level that they can win every week more than that. If that makes me a bad fan whatever, I'm not looking for approval anyway.
Everything you say makes sense here and fair play, but as its coming from a 'what's Harrison good at?' comment it suddenly seems bizarre.
For the sake of, I don't know, something I'll give it a crack:
He's athletic
Can pass, forward too!
Not afraid to try to be creative
Not afraid to battle for a ball
Not afraid to go to the championship and stamp his mark on a team
Not afraid to come back and show he's capable of battling for a first team spot
Not afraid to play out of position when asked
All of this while still 18 until recently but most of all what stands out to me is his composure, a thing not easily taught in any discipline. Grealush has it, Branthwaite has it and Harrison has it. More composure than many players with 10 years on him.
He's clearly a talent and long may he stay a Toffee

What's strange about it Joey? If he stays and doesn't play, that's the worst outcome.
Gametime isn't for him to win, it's for him to lose..
He will get adequate time on the field, he will get even more time training with far better players than he has..

Already up the top of the pecking order bar Garner, KDH and Gana ( just because Moyes won't drop him )

He has the perfect setup to thrive now, and he has the managers faith that his progress doesn't need to be elsewhere anymore..

He also has an empty garden now..

He has proven he has not looked out of place in our team on weekend sides the make shift midfield away at Vila was the reason we won -
Plus I can't understand why Rhol has not featured since - maybe carrying a slight knock ?
Plus since Ganas inclusion our midfield is not as good imo.!

Again, I'm not offering an opinion on whether he's ready to play or not. I'm questioning whether he will play, which is down to one man (Moyes, to be clear). He's given him a decent run of matches, but now that everyone's back, will he get the same?

Obviously yes or DM would have sent him back ....plus we need a strong bench if the game plan goes wrong as it does ....

If only we had looked at his injury record 🤔

He's not vying for a position with George. Out of all his apps he was on the wing one time.

….absolutely but that last appearance reflected Moyes thinks he can ‘do a job there’ ahead of the other options he had available. Ideally George can now earn himself a regular starting place.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Armstrong starts again on the right tomorrow with George getting game time off the bench.

I am not sure who he is vying for a position with. When we line up with a double pivot and KDH as a 10 then he could be vying with KDH or with Gana. When we line up with a 3 in MF he is vying with Rohl and Iroegbunam. If Garner gets injured he might come in and play that role.
Some will say he needs to determine a position and make it his but franly as seen on loan and in a few recent appearances he can play most roles.
Looking at our midfield options it is a complex picture

#6 - Garner
Armstrong
Iroegbunam

#8 - Gana
KDH
Rohl
Armstrong
Iroegbunam
Alcaraz

#10
KDH
Armstrong
Rohl
Alcaraz
N'Diaye
Dibling
