Throw a player into the crucible of the Prem at 18, or throw them in at 19 with a full season of competitive footie under their belt?

The Alvaro Carreras we had on loan looked great. We played him all season after not having much competitive game time before that loan. He played 40+ games for us and really kicked on after that, moving to Benfica and Real Madrid.

If you start him every week, keep him. If you can't, let us.

I would have expected Aznou to go on loan to you by the end of the window...well I hope he does!

But sounds like Small is doing well for you so perhaps not a shoe-in with him being your player.

Could say Armstrong has done well at both Derby & Preston and is now premier league ready.

The issue is, will Moyes play him consistently as we are seeing with Aznou and Dibling that he is clueless.

Currently a 16 year old midfielder called Malik Olayiwola is the best of our 1st year Scholars - actually he may be 17 today. . A very exciting prospect who is starting to do what HA did, playing up early at u21 level , not looking out of place and making huge progress in a short period of time. I’m hoping that in two years time he’s the new HA - and nobody gives him his own thread in the meantime.

It would make me very happy if HA has a stormer, scores a goal , gets subbed off at 80 mins and is replaced by Malik Olayiwola . Very unlikely of course but these two represent the future for us.

He put a proper shift in today. Not everything worked in his favour but he kept showing for the ball. Got moved into different areas and kept going. He was running on empty extra time. The lad did well.

I think if he had better ball players around him such as Dewsbury Hall, Garner and Grealish his quality would be standing out more than he showed today. That’s not a criticism as I thought he stood out amongst a lot of mediocrity.
