2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

….just seen a clip of a new interview released by the club and it’s an interesting insight to young players joining a group of senior professionals.

He said something along the lines of, ‘the players test you in training’. It’s exactly what happens, there’s no hiding place for footballers, they have to earn the respect of their teammates, coaches and Manager.

I think he's got the potential to be a really good PL player and he's already comfortable at this level.

But that's why I'd send him back to Preston. In 3 weeks he'll be back on the bench, so we may as well let him play every week at the top end of the Championship.

As I think the last week has shown, this season isn't going to be anything for us. Not going down, not getting into Europe, so let the lad continue his development.
That's exactly why he should be playing here as much as possible. Back half of this season should be about building for next year.

Tim is good between the penalty boxes, big, strong, runs well
With the ball, still gives it away cheaply at time. But around the box he lack composure and knowing where to pass or run and his shooting is terrible

Yeah, Tim has got 2 very good attributes, it's the 3rd i'm not sure he has in his locker. We would have seen a glimpse of it by now..

Armstrong has all 3 attributes, it's up to him how far he takes them.

I wouldn't take Tim out yet tho as he has rightly earned his place,
And once KDH is back, he fits straight in..

Keep Armstrong around better players though and just let him gradually take his chance.

….Moyes recalling him and giving yet another Everton teenager their first PL start, I can’t see him starting ahead Garner, Gueye and Iroegbunam but he looks more composed and superior in possession to Rohl at this point in time.

Be interesting if he goes back to PNE or stays but as many of us thought, he looks a fine prospect.
Garna can do one 36 years old forget him

I am actually forced to finally agree with you on this thread, the lad spends more time wiping his studs than he does running, maybe he's just adding mud so they look dirty and used..

Anyway, off topic. Armstrong thread.
So that agreement doesn't count..
We must have some youth players like HA - there scorer was 18 years old please take note DM !

Currently a 16 year old midfielder called Malik Olayiwola is the best of our 1st year Scholars - actually he may be 17 today. . A very exciting prospect who is starting to do what HA did, playing up early at u21 level , not looking out of place and making huge progress in a short period of time. I’m hoping that in two years time he’s the new HA - and nobody gives him his own thread in the meantime.

FFS, Joey has just got Google out, been on the blower to his brother and the two of them are currently setting up camp outside the lads house.
