2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Preston and Heckingbottom have done exactly the job expected of them, given him experience, allowed him to progress another level. The next step is now down to Moyes and his coaching staff to take him on further at PL level. There were lots of the typical Armstrong touches last night , it was a very good first PL start, but they now need to be sitting down with him showing the videos of where he can improve. There were a few times where he made what looked like good runs to him but just took him to an area where he was never going to receive the ball. Then there were a couple of interactions with Grealish where he moved towards him and helped create space. Highlight the good bits, help him to work on the areas he can improve.

I think he was one of the few bright spots last night. I thought he looked quite slight at the game on Sunday but couldn’t make the kick off last night with work so had to put up with TV but he looked bigger on TV. I’m thinking physically he can handle himself and he is only gonna get stronger.

If he stays then I’d like to see Moyes give him at least 30 minutes off the bench every game, and start him whenever possible
Agree, think he showed last night he’s at the level. Be criminal to sit him on the bench a just give the odd minute here and there. Give him some proper game time or send him back to Preston. Be a serious option for us next season.

Like the rest of the team - look at their goal Tarks running back flat footed .... HA had a very good game - the 2nd half you can not afford passengers & Barry & Dwight were just that IMO - the team fell back - more home points lost ....

Whys barry catching strays?

We must be the only club in the world that leaves the striker completely isolated, creates nothing for them and doesnt play to their strengths and then go he crap him isnt he.

Prime r9 would look dog dirt in this side

I think he's got the potential to be a really good PL player and he's already comfortable at this level.

But that's why I'd send him back to Preston. In 3 weeks he'll be back on the bench, so we may as well let him play every week at the top end of the Championship.

As I think the last week has shown, this season isn't going to be anything for us. Not going down, not getting into Europe, so let the lad continue his development.
