Yes mate 20m for the Argentinian national teams defensive midfielder whose had two great back to back seasons pretty much at the top of the def mid charts in Spain and is improving is questionable.... Especially given the fact it's by a country mile the position we are I most need of improving on.


The guy is very good and anything south of 30m would be an absolute bargain

Looking at the stats, does look the perfect fit, for what Lampard wants and what we need.

Excellent defensive numbers, like top 10% of all DMs over the last two years in most metrics. Very good at pressing.

Also above average in possession, particularly in his own and the middle third, so can probably build attacks. Also top 20% for winning headers.

A lot depends on price and structure I suppose.

Big, strong, good in the air, bit of a monster defensively and good on the ball.

I honestly don't know enough about him but I don't think it would be a good call. We just spent 20m on a 28 year old Allan.

Allan was actually 29 and 15 months older - also slower and not a natural DM but more an 8 who tend not to age as well.
