If he will be the overpriced older player with no resale value that we sign.So this is this years “fantasy but not happening” signing.
Wouldn’t be an Everton summer without one.
He might not be. As I said it's just the percentages. You've also either got to lose him at a loss or sign him to an extension that will further push it age wise at that point.
No but if you also only do it once every 3 years that's really bad tooNot all players require being sold on for profit but I'm sure you're well aware of that.

Big thing in all of the above is not just the fee but what the selling club is willing to accept in terms of upfront payments and subsequent deal structure.Everything is risky. Do we pay £10mill on a random from the Belgian league, that “might” be good but knowing us will be crap.
Or spend £20m on a young known PL DM that we expect to be great and will have a value of £50m in 2 years, but will get injured having his photos taken at FF.
Or spend £25m on an older but by all accounts reliable player with no resale value.
I think given we are fancied relegation candidates, purely in defensive midfield we have to go for the “likely to be good this season” option on a player with a back catalogue of good performances.
No idea if this chap fits the profile but people seem very excited so I’m all in and already ordered a a pink top with his name on.
@MikelsGoat has started this.Do we desperately need a 6?
Do we have the luxury of waiting 2-3 years for
one to develop into a good player?
Sign this man up.
