Scary thing is, LOADS of people thought Kirkby was the answer in the early days. I agree though, Moyes & Neville just saying what their overlords want them to say, without a thought for the fans

Never fancied the Kirkby idea myself. Not for boundary reasons (you tell a Kirkby resident their not a scouser see what happens) but I just think there were/are better opinions

It was a Ferrari with no wheels...then it had no engine.

I was one of many all for it till everything came out and it got ripped apart. Dodged a massive bullet

hindsight is a great thing, it could've cripple the club but kenwright et all wouldve sold up

Let's be honest though, Kirkby is a slightly better Skem

Haven't read the thread but please god no. It would become Their ground and all about them...they'd probably have a new kop. Just no. Neither supporters want it either

Im from Stockbridge Village which is the same as Kirkby, im 250 yards from the Liverpool boarder but im still a candidate for the Wool Pack,

i remember talking to my red mate about a ground share and he said "i wudnt fukkin share a bus wiv a bitter blue nevermind a stadium" the Irony!!

Depends if there was a Sayers or Greggs in the new stadium. Quit the petty argument and lets focus on the big issues.

I heard that KEIOC's re-development proposal includes a Sayer's in each corner of the ground and a Greggs instead of the Gwladys St School

In an ideal world both clubs would redevelop there own grounds and surrounding area's, make extra space required to have world class areana.

In reality that's not gonna happen. Even if we redeveloped we would still not have a world class stadium.

I want a massive new stadium that could host CL finals ect... That would be a draw for players to want to play in. That football fans would want to come and see...

Everton and Liverpool could pull that off together. The council would pay massive contributions towards it so the cost would be minimal between the two clubs.

It would have to be a 50/50 joint venture to have any chance of working. And unfortunately for us blues there standin in the media and success would prob make it more about them than us initially but... Success changes things quickly. We would no doubt get a new owner with cash and be on a completely level playing field with that lot...

For me there's too many good reason that outway the bad not to at least give major consideration to the idea. Or we can BOTH just plod along with our history, identity and dated stadiums which make us NO money and just sit by and watch the London and Manchester clubs move further and further away form us.

The council are skint.

I think in our situation we should be looking to do this. It's not good for the fans but this is the only way that could get us money an pay off the debts. Look at it this way you could be stuck with the 7th place and no signings or could be champions league football and a few signings a seasons . It might help us get bigger players. It could help to find a buyer for the club . If they called it anything with liverpool in then I wouldnt go . That's corruption at its worst . The Merseyside arena ftw

Head says it makes sense, the heart says i'd rather wipe my ass with broken glass.
For that reason i'm out

I can't see anything of substance ever happening ever whilst Kenwright is around. So I wouldn't even begin to worry about sharing with that lot.
