Groundshare Debate on TalkSport Now

Groundshare makes sense. Means we can have a great world class stadium for two great teams - both in the place that we want. Increases income, tourism, etc...

...Better than the two of us having average stadiums...

It will be their stadium.

We'l be Wimbledon to their Crystal Palace

Why? It could be like Inter and Milan, you just don't know. Fact is we are a big club, Liverpool is a big club, and the City itself is known for its football. Having a world class stadium is better than being known for having an old stadium.

As far as im concerned, wether or not it affects Evertons image, we get more money - a better stadium, and its better for the City.

Inter want out of the San Siro mate.

Is that what it's all about then? So we get more money? What happened to history, tradition, identity?

The ground share makes perfect sense for both teams. It won't happen though due to the fans.

Everton will just become a mid\lower table team over the next 50 years, while the london clubs all play in their new, state of the art stadiums, raking in the money along with the Manchester teams while Everton still play at Goodison.

It'll be ok though because we'll still have our identity and history ....... lol

Who'd foot the cost? There's no way wed go 50/50 as we are skint and would have add 100mill of loan debt on to the club. The RS would fund most of it and call the shots.

But I'd guess BK wouldnt mind that as long as it improved our current position and he could sell up

Go on then go and share a stadium with the sh8te, dear me, i need to swerve online Evertonians i think.

Manchester United, old ground in the 60s/70s/80s - they redeveloped, one of the biggest clubs in the world.

I know Sky and modern day football want you to believe that a brand spanking soulless dome will make us return to the elite, but it wouldn't.

Stuff identity and history that made us Everton lads, let's just share with them and become their feeder club, Liverpool 2, or Merseyside FC so we have a bit of money in transfer windows.

We'd also risk ending up like 1860 Munich, where Bayern ended up buying out the stadium and forcing 1860 to pay rent, this board in particular would probably take the short term profit over long term finances.
