Lineker says without blushing how could Lukaku score 21 goals for Everton and leave at the end of the season........

If we were going to sell Rom for '£60m-£70m', then Rom would have already signed his new 5 year, £140k a week contract with the '£60m-£70m release clause' in it that Riaola wanted.

Do these people even think before they speak?

They seem to think we'll just roll over and have our bellies tickled the minute one of their so-called 'big' clubs comes in for him.

It would be hilarious if it wasn't for the fact we've established many times over the past 10+ years that we do not sell cheap and of late, actively turn down transfer requests and keep a player if we wish to (Stones).

Didn't Le Saux once express surprise when a fellow pundit alluded to the fact that EFC is based in the city of Liverpool?

The guy is clueless.

He was deliberately trying to say something a bit shocking but only ended up embarrassing himself. It's like suggesting Real Madrid might come in for Messi and Barcelona better be prepared for it. It's just a plain ridiculous thing to suggest.

I don't think he realised that his remarks would be contentious. In fact, I dont think he even knows that we are LFC's local rivals. He probably thinks that Goodison Park is somewhere in Cumbria.

Like I say: clueless.

He was being ironic.

He also said "Lukaku has bein the first ever Everton player to score 20 goals in a season.....because as we all know, football did not exist before the Premier League" :)

Oh I know he was trying to be ironic but it came across to me as a patronising dig at EFC .... In keeping with usual MOTD attitude.

Maybe I am getting too sensitive in my old age.

The all-time no.1 for me was from Chris Sutton just the other week, he said Tom Davies reminded him of Robbie Savage. I was absolutely blown away by that, as where the other people sat in the studio with him. The most lazy bit of punditry I've ever heard.
But he has long hair and usually plays football in a blue shirt. It's like they're identical in every part of their game!
