Le Saux is a regular NBC commentator in the states and I think he does quite well but that was shameful. If I have one criticism of NBC it is buying into this whole Top 6 mess and in particular they love the RS so can't say I'm surprised

Ironically yesterday on MOTD2 lunchtime with Mark Chapman, the consensus of the whole panel - Henry Winter, Guy Mowbray and even Dean Saunders - was incredulity that Lukaku would want to leave Everton given the impetus the club has had on and off the pitch. They were very impressed with our football too...bigging up the young lads were bringing through and hailing Koemans's influence on Ross Barkley. Its all opinion of course but Le Saux is not with the flow.

I think lukaku and lineker are similar in that respect that they both see/saw us as a stepping stone to 'greater things'. No need for that comment by lineker btw.
I don't think Lineker had any thoughts of going anywhere else when he came to Everton. Circumstances changed
later and Barcelona came knocking.

Anyway, there weren't any greater things when he was here.

Lineker never says a bad word against us really, unless it's deserved (in his opinion). He's been on record as saying he always looks out for our scores and regards that team as the best he's ever played in. Plus he was told to leave for Barca, he didn't want away. I look at everything he says in a positive light wrt Everton.

He is a man whom has never been given the respect his work at Everton deserves IMO.

He scored thirty goals for us in the league and gave us the lead in the Cup Final yet many Evertonians.....including I am ashamed to say, my late lamented dear old dad :(.....say he was the reason we missed out on the league title and possibly the Double in 1986.

No other club's fans would think like that.....but that is why I love my fellow Evertonians.

Contrarians almost to a man or woman

I never said we were better with him in the team. I just said he doesn't speak ill of us and regards the team he played in as the finest of his career. Not the same thing :)
