Can you pinpoint a moment when and why WWE became PG and generally not as good.

The Hell in a Cell match between Edge and Undertaker at Summer Slam 2008. First ever bloodless Cell match. That's when I first really noticed it.

To be honest, it's not the PG that bothers me. You can have PG stories and still produce an exciting product. The problem is WWE treat everyone outside of about 5-6 guys as total losers, so none of the supporting cast are over.

Back in 98-2000, the under card guys would be pushed like they mattered, hence the shows were much more entertaining

I do miss blood though. I don't think it should be on every show, but they should still break it out now and then in a big match where it's been earned

No lie, went to school with them and was in their year. We were never in the same classes though so we barely spoke. Have spoken to them since though and they are both lovely girls. I wish them all the best, they've worked bloody hard for it

I was quite shocked at that.

I liked his matches in WCW and a few ties there and in TNA I thought he may make a name for himself stateside. You are right it is sad news.

I hear TNA wrestler Zema Ion has a serious tumour, and a fund has been set up to help pay his medical bills. He's really young as well.

Wow, thanks so much for posting this! THIS is one of the major reasons I still love this business. I love to see them go out of character to celebrate people who've meant a lot to the sport. I love listening to great stories from the past. Which is why I also consider the Hall of Fame the greatest night of the year. Bret "The Hitman" Hart really, really deserves this. A true legend and one of the best the world has ever seen. Now I just want to continue reading his book.

Funny to see Vince saying Bret won the world title the old school way by earning it as well. Let's hope he realizes that's the way it should be now as well. Not by throwing belts on non-talented jokes like Sheamus and (soon to be champ) Ryback.

Mikey, the "clash of champions" dvd is excellent. I've just finished watching the "attitude era" dvd, the documentary is poor at only 57 mins but its got loads of brillant matchs and moments. I'm also looking forward to the "best of in your house" dvd.
