Honestly I don't think it has anything to do with Steph or his wish to have his brother and dad inducted with him, I think (and I'll probably be wrong) the reason is Savage done the deal with WCW behind Vince's back and never showed gratitude to the McMahon family in doing so.

Do you mean everyone in wrestling as in people involved in the business who would actually know first hand?
Or do you mean everyone in wrestling as in people believe the rumour cause they put 2 and 2 together and make 5 cause any other explanation isn't as funny.
The whole rumour started years ago on the infamous "sleaze thread" which was basically people repeating already heard rumours and just making stuff up. And ok, probably some true things as well but with the amount of shoot interviews and people with grudges in wrestling if the Savage/Steph thing was true it would have been known by people who had something to gain from revealing it.
But thats where the rumour came from, so unless the anonymous poster on the internet about 10 years ago decide to make it public despite saying quiet in the previous 10 years then its just a made up rumour that almost became "fact" due to its popularity.

Sorry Stevo27 but don't agree, the celebs are embarrassing to the wrestling biz for me. I don't think they deserve to be in the same hall of fame that has Hulk Hogen for god sake! Maybe a different award but not the same. If Pete Rose can be in the hall of fame, why can't David Arquette be world champ? They both disgrace the biz for me. Its nice that celebs can be involved but they don't deserve somthing that most professionals don't ever get, end of for me mate!

Boysinblue, come on man! Vince would of made a storyline years ago if it was true, that guy will do anything for the raitings! I did mean Challenge TV though, tanks for reminding me mate.
Watched a load of WWF from 2000 yesterday. Much better than today. Wasn't even as if there was more wrestling on it, it had much better scripting and pacing than today and it also helped that everyone ranging from Rock to Crash Holly was over in some form.

Saw the Thursday re-run of Raw last night, I think they cut about 10 minutes out of The Shield match. Gutted, what I saw was good.
On NXT I didn't like the way Yoshi Tatsu was utilized. Thought the Sami Zayn vs. Antonio Cesaro match was pretty good, but likely would've been very good even with just 5 minutes extra. Bray Wyatt impressed - mainly because I don't rate Corey Graves at this point.
On the subject of the WWE Hall of Fame I don't like that non-wrestling personalities are inducted when they haven't really made a contribution to the business, especially when you think of the talent that deserves to be recognised. On the other hand they are inducted into the celebrity wing and WWE sees itself as entertainment and not wrestling and likes the 'rub' of non wrestling personalities so I see why they do it. Surely though Mr. T should be in it as well?

NewRadical, Mr T is the only non wrestling guy who should ever be inducted. I base this on his wrestlemaina work but that's it! No one else deserves it for me. If Tyson is in there then why not Rodman or Melone? Oh ye, that was wcw so it means nothing to vince!

You say Mr T should be in and I agree as he was in matches at both initial Manias so why shouldn't Perry be in it for doing the same thing? Arquette should never have been World Champion but that was Russo's stupidity that WCW went along with, Arquette himself didn't want the belt and went on to donate his appearance fees to the families of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman and Darren Drozdov

Stevo27. Its not hard to understand mate but to me you should have to do somthing meaningful to the biz to even be considerd. Which is why ill give Mr T credit. But celebirty wing or not its still the hall of fame and most of them don't deserve to be in it for me.

Down the years I've read comments about people wanting an independant 'physical' wrestling Hall of Fame/Museum. I'd like to see that.
Could be a decent tourist attraction and help indy promotions if they have a show nearby.
