Used to train a lot when i was younger, all wieghts for size. really should do some now as i'm getting cuddly around the mid section ;-) problem i have now is my knees are fecked, so its v low impact for me, walking and swimming. probs the weights when i was younger that screwed my knees.

I trained for size for a while when i was younger, i got to 17.7st. but because i bulking and not doing cardio i ended up with a bit of a belly to. i decided to go back to boxing and within 4-6 months i was back down to between 14 and 14.7st. this is where i have stayed ever since.

My best weight (wheni was toned that is) was 13 1/2st now i'm gusting 15 1/2 to 16st. its genetics for me - i inherited the greedy bas terd gene from me dad!

Going for my monthly weight/bmi/body fat % weigh in today at lunch, last time was;

10st 8.
bmi -21.5
bf % - 17.6%

I'm hoping that I've put on a pound or two (in muscle, preferably), and my body fat % has gone down.

Ok just did shoulders for the first time in a week. Maxed out on 42.5kg's dumbells 2 weeks ago with 7 reps on my final set.

Started out on 40's, then did 42.5's and finally reached 45's for 6 reps. This is absolutely crazy for me as just over a year ago I was told I would most likely need a shoulder reconstruction from playing Rugby League, but I refused to get it and rather try to strengthen the muscles around it. Massive psychological victory because my shoulder still has a tendency to pop when under high stress.

SALIIIBBBAAAA!!!!!!

1st gym session in about 8 months - now i;m absolutely shagged out. Started about 10kilos down from what I was hitting last autumn and I'm still fooked

I think I've put on a stone since quitting soccer ball. I've just joined a posh hotel swimming pool

I'm obviously hoping to get fit and lose some weight, but it's all about finding a rich older woman right?

I may even try and run there in a minute!!

Did a decent chest session yesterday, back in there tomorrow for shoulders I think. I've put some weight back on and I'm getting stronger. Is right.

Tomorrow, core. Yesterday - running.

I won't be able to move, come the end of the week, but it will all be worth it...

Oh and did 40kg on the shoulder press machine, as measly as that is. Achievement for me anyway! Gutted I had to skip gym in Fri/Sat, as I was sick :(

Oh I did a bit of core too, I'm trying to get at least 4 sets in with every session, it's a bitch but it makes a huge difference.

Nothing to be ashamed about doing 40kg mate, or any weight for that matter. As long as you're keeping at it, that's all that matters really. (I sound like a personal trainer here but I'm sooooo far from it)

Me and you are the stalwarts of this thread m'friend, let's keep it up and we'll be looking like Greek gods in no time!

We'll get there, mate.

Soon.

But seriously - I can now actually see the effect of training - a bit better shaped body and stuff. I just need to work very much on my core in this week, probably half of the other, as I want to be "shaped" there too and stuff, if you catch my drift. And yeah, I actually am proud of myself about those 40kg ones, as I did 3 series of x10 reps, with the 8th being put back down VERY slow, and pushing for 2 more after that. Try that, it's an absolute bitch to your arms/shoulders/everything, haha!

Good stuff mate. Once you start to see the effects you can start to shape your training to what you want to gain from it. I find what is important is to keep mixing it up a little, try new exercises and see what you get from them, it keeps it interesting too! You don't want to be going to the gym thinking of it as a total chore.

Hi Beefcakes

I walked 15 mins to the pool and back, swam for about 45 mins twice yesterday, going again tonight.

Sat in the spa with a man with one eye

Perved on a hotty with huge boobs

Realised I'm an absolute machine at swimming! Beast! All the other men are at least twice my age mind

Feeling it today which is nice
