Just got back from the gym. Topped up my chest and managed to get out 4 sets of 30kg dumbbells on chest press, that's my best yet. Also did shoulders and a bit of core. I managed to get out 4 sets of shoulder press at 60kg (on a machine, mind).

Worryingly though I've gone from about 182lbs to 177lbs, I'm going 7 or 8 hours at a time without food at this new job.

Bad tymz.

Get some protein shakes/bars into you. You're probably going catabolic when you work which isn't good :S Or it could be water weight.

I'm not expert, but to put it simply, if your body is in starvation mode, it will start to break down lean muscle fibers for energy.

In saying that, it also does use fat, but the body does take both.

Muay Thai followed by freestyle wrestling tonight. two Really tough sessions.

had the physio round for an MOT last night, really need to improve my stretching, lots of little knots in my muscles.

Respect, Muay Thai is intense, seen my mates do it...it's crazy.

Off to the gym now, doing shoulders, will see how high I can get, aiming to break my best on dumbell shoulder press today.

Ok just did shoulders for the first time in a week. Maxed out on 42.5kg's dumbells 2 weeks ago with 7 reps on my final set.

Started out on 40's, then did 42.5's and finally reached 45's for 6 reps. This is absolutely crazy for me as just over a year ago I was told I would most likely need a shoulder reconstruction from playing Rugby League, but I refused to get it and rather try to strengthen the muscles around it. Massive psychological victory because my shoulder still has a tendency to pop when under high stress.

Yeah, 70. Feeling great about that, too. I'm very skinny/powerless so that's literally amazing, started with 30kgs which I can barely lift, like 2 months ago.

Nice one mate, you're doing good. I'm quite slim too, about 13 stone and 6 foot 1 or 2. I'd love to get up to about 14 stone eventually.

I think you're spot on there. I have a very fast metabolism, even at the age of 24 so I need to eat a lot just to stay at the same weight. I have very little fat on me either.

I've recently ran out of protein, I can't quite afford to pick any up yet but I definitely miss it.

Didn't end up training last night. i had trained all week and i think a combination of not eating enough (my diet is good but i need to eat more) and not sleeping enough (due to having a 5 week old baby and getting up early for work).

My body was goosed last night. went to bed at 8pm and feel a lot better this morning. Will do the Muay Thai class tonight.
