Upped my game today, haha. 65kg on the bench press. Proud of myself, and I probably could've gone to 70 but it was in my last set, and didn't want to overdo it as I had a lot of stuff planned as well.

More weights on pretty much everything though, proud of myself here.

Top effort mate. Keep upping it every week, even if it's in small increments, you'll definitely surprise yourself in a couple of months.

I try to mate but I often forget. It would be good motivation if everyone used this thread I think!

Off to the gym in an hour or so to do chest and shoulders. Followed by a bit of core.

Did some core today, I hate it haha. Shoulders for me tomorrow night, ready for a big one :D

Go hard at the gym :D

Nice one mate. It's a good feeling when you break the 60/70kg barrier. Unfortunately I seldom get to do bench press with a bar as I mostly go the gym on my own, so it's dumbbells for me and a bit of the machines. I can't help but feel that's slowing my progress though.

can you not use a smith machine mate.

Will do mate, I'm using the highlights of the game last night to psych me up a bit.

I hate core too. I always leave it until the end of a session and then pretend I never planned on doing it in the first place, scarpering out of the gym door.

Good shout, I always forget about that. Probably because the smith machine in my gym is horrible. I'll give it a go though!

Just got back from the gym. Topped up my chest and managed to get out 4 sets of 30kg dumbbells on chest press, that's my best yet. Also did shoulders and a bit of core. I managed to get out 4 sets of shoulder press at 60kg (on a machine, mind).

Worryingly though I've gone from about 182lbs to 177lbs, I'm going 7 or 8 hours at a time without food at this new job.

Bad tymz.

60? I can go 30-35, 40 at best.

FFS you are another of those monsters like Saliba lifting two cars instead of dumbbells.

Haha, I wish mate. I'm not big, I've just managed to build up a bit of strength from doing it for a little while. If you keep going at the rate you're at and keep upping the weights whenever possible then you'll be there in no time, it sounds like you're doing pretty well.

You said you're doing 60-70 on flat bench if I recall correctly? The last time I did bench press with a bar I did 70kg so you're not as far off as you think. Keep at it mate!

Yeah, 70. Feeling great about that, too. I'm very skinny/powerless so that's literally amazing, started with 30kgs which I can barely lift, like 2 months ago.
