Type in Olympic lifts in google. It will explain and probably have pics to help. To be honest with what you're asking, if I was you I would train with someone with a bit of experience or talk to a personal trainer. If you lift using the wrong technique you could really hurt yourself.

Ta mate, will have a look at that then. Both the lifts and if I can find a personal trainer/experienced guy.

And, upon closer inspection (googled "isolation lifts" from your previous post, top detective work here) I see that I've been doing more "compound lifts", rather than isolation ones. I do a lot of deadlifts, bench/incline presses, bent-over rows, lat pulls and others; all with a barbell, mind. Oh and also I try and do a few pull-ups, but I find myself still lacking some power. There's defo progress though! Considering I started to bench press 30kg and am up to 55 now, too. May be so little for you guys but for me that's FFS PHWOAAAAR!

So back on the topic - am I doing the right things? I've had some advice from a few experienced guys at the gym and they say I've been doing quite well, but anyway wanted to ask...

Sounds decent to me mate, get a few squats in too. Weighted chinups are still the best exercise in the world - if you can get to be able to do about eight or ten fairly comfortably with just your body, start adding some **** on there.

I used to, but no I dont at all now.

Play 5 a side weekly thats my running.

I always find being out and about is a lot more fun than grinding it indoors, that's all I was thinking. Especially if you can find somewhere that's not just road and pavement, like a park or woods or whatever. Might break it up a bit.

This.

Road running is too monotonous, cross country or hill running is better fun all round.

I just recently starting getting myself into shape, I speed walk 5 miles one day and the next day a 3 mile bike ride, planning on increasing the distance or speed soon, I've lost 2 stone in just over 2 months :)

I do get some in there, but because of an old knee injury I tend to not do them so much, or just stop when I feel pain.

And Bry - wish there was something there, still early days for me... And no, the V-necks are badly Nik.

Definitely mate, I don't run too much because I'm a small guy and I want to build some size.

Roids help, so I'm reliably informed by the red faced neck less wonders.
