Just said the same on the other thread. Can see us getting takers for Allan and Davies but nobody wants Gomes and Gbamin unless we can maybe ship them out on loan.

Expect Gomes & Gbamin to leave late on loan, probably on 50% wages. Was hoping with Gbamin having a half decent loan in moscow, that somebody might come in with a fee and take him off us, but no.

Another possibility is not to list Godfrey and Townsend. With the World Cup there are only 2 premier League games at end of December and a possible League Cup game.

Whether he stays or goes will probably depend on the quality of any offer, what it does to the finances and whether or not we bring in one more mid or two. That could go either way.

Looking forward, we're at sixteen senior players (seventeen if we exercise the Doucoure option) going into next season, plus whatever permanent adds we make this window. Next season we'll need keeper cover, we'll need to deal with the Pickford and Iwobi contract situations one way or another, and we'll have a major decision to make about DCL. About half the dead wages come off at the end of June, which should give us a little wiggle room next summer for a couple of additions on installment deals.

If we get a few more good young players in to build around next summer, we should finally have the Titanic pointed somewhere other than at the iceberg. Turning Digne and Richarlison into Myko, Patterson, Onana, McNeil and any other permanent ins looks like a pretty solid haul - vastly better than I think any of us expected. Tarkowski looks like a solid Bosman, and quality young players seem to actually want to play for us. Those are both refreshing changes of pace.
