Just a shame we couldn’t get that forward player.
If all were fit, you’d have to say we have too many centre backs.
Mina and Keane probably wouldn’t still be here if Mina could actually stay fit for more than 30 minutes.

Swap them out for a creative player and another forward player in Jan and we’re golden.
Got an average squad and XI age of around 25 now which is good.

It finally looks like a Frank Lampard-style squad is coming together. A number of really young, promising players supported by a handful of really experienced leaders in their positions.
Sort the front positions out over the next couple of windows, trim more of the fat, and continue to maintain the general health of the overall squad and we're in business.

It's phenomenal how in one window they've turned Frankenstein's monster into a coherent team (with a couple of exceptions).

Aha... Cheers! Been looking for a a number on what the summer's cost! If I may ask, how did you get to that 15m number?
Barring the forward issue (which is a much bigger problem than as been mentioned so far), I do think Lamps and Thelwell have done OK. Would've gone for a decent forward over Mcneil and think IGG is at the wrong end of this career for that position - but will keep an open mind in IGG who Played pretty well vs RS.
