It is not to do with the few times you have experienced something wrong against you based on your race. It is to do with being born into a system and a society that means that every time you leave your house you worry about these things happening to you. I am sorry that you and your brothers and your friends have been wronged. But it's not the same.

Every time you leave your house are you worried police might target you? Every time you go to a job interview are you worried you won't be seen as equal based on your qualifications? Do you worry that your children will be judged just because of the colour of their skin?

I've said it before and I will say it again. This is not about whether white people have tough things to go through. Obviously lots of white people have horrible things to deal with. Bu this is to do with the fact that ethnic minorities have it much worse on average.
Can you please give me some rep.

Can you ask everyone right now to give me some rep please.

Everyone! If you have a heart inside that chest and if you’re going on like you care about black lives then you’ll care about Carlos’ rep otherwise you’re just a hypocrite. You can’t pick and choose. Either you have compassion or you don’t.

Can’t have a bleeding heart when it suits you and just ignore Carlos just because there’s nothing in it for you. Give him rep or get out of this thread altogether.

Thank you mate.

More than happy to Carlos but I don't know how to rep
No rep available in current affairs.

However should see the option to give rep by the like/quote/reply button on one of Carlos posts in his thread

Martin Luther King said “Riot is the language of the unheard”.

You’d have to be blind not to have seen this coming.

People are complaining that those rioting should be demonstrating peacefully, however when black Americans were protesting peacefully by taking the knee, they were roundly criticised by many, including the president for doing just that.

That has been oft quoted this past week and it makes for a good soundbite.

However, rioting England football fans over many years suggests Dr. King was generalising.

Especially when applied to RS rioting at Heysel and 39 innocent lives being lost as a result.

When were the police force entrusted to be judge jury and executioner?

That comment was discussed at length above, albeit for other reasons.

But the short answer - not exactly what I was saying. You seem to imply something akin to vigilante/on the street justice. What I'm claiming is that most of the incidents are justified in the moment, meaning to stop a threat. A police officer determining someone "deserved to die" without facing a threat to himself/herself or others wouldn't be in my category of deserved/justified shoots.
